Size - other competing models/brands are having too big speakers the master unit
Simplicity - it consists of one master unit and 2 speakers, no such things as surround and center speakers
Decent sound quality - I never expect such sound quality come from 2 all-range speaker
Accept input from other devices

Remote control too complex
No memory feature - you can't stop the cd/dvd without current preferences was being 'flushed'
Placement of some controls are on-top of the unit
Tuner is not so sensitive

I was looking for a small unit for my bedroom. Criteria is a simple system with decent sound quality. After comparing with various products from Sony, LG, Panasonic, Philips, Sharp and JVC itself, finally I chose this model due to the following reasons:
- it has a built-in tuner
- it can play DVD - some of the models/brands can only play CD
- (almost) similar sound quality with other model with wood cone (EX-D1, EX-D5 etc), with S$ 250 cheaper
- reasonable price
