I'm using the 36 volt DBS version with xlr connectors, lenght 1 meter.
My sistem: B&W 805S, Audio Analogue Maestro cd, pre and power amps. First of all, construction is first rate, the quality of silver conductors is at the same level of japanese occ silver, the connectors are custom made, silver plated. For the sound: IMHO every cable that I tried made with only one conductor for polarity (20-24 awg usually, silver or copper is the same) often lack the big and bold medium range of bigger cables like Cardas, Straightwire, JPS,Mit, etc. The same goes for these cables: clean and smooth sound, very well damped, refined in the harmonics and overtone, medium-bass a bit lean, bass tight but powerful. The medium-high frequencies are not bright, but have a bit more energy then the rest of spectrum, giving the impression of fast sound but not very assertive. However they're very very good, the best attribute of these cables. For the first time in my experience, these are silver cables that I like. Soundstage is good, expecially the depht and height. Dynamic also is good, but I listened cables that can recreate better the fast transition between the notes, in particular the macrodynamic. The best attribute are the smoothness given by the purity of silver, clarity in the medium-high and high frequencies and control-damping of the most congested audio moments. With these cables I can listen to higher volume then usual, a very good sign as You know. They're not completely neutral, but always enjoyable.
I did not tried the DBS system in-out yet. A trick: even if we were teached by high-end cable makers that silver tarnish is conductive, this is a myth. Tarnish on silver is silver sulfur (not silver oxide) and it's a semiconductor (n-type) at ambient temperature under about 170-180°C. This is a real know fact in the industrial and aerospace world; with a thickness of about 200 Angstrom silver sulfur start to degrade electric conductivity on connectors. The light load created by the weight of cables and connectors displace part of the tarnish and permit the conductivity, 'cause silver sulfur is not a very hard material. There's no silver oxide at ambient temperature. So, please clean your silver plated connectors on Cheetah cables. In my room, the sound improved a lot.

Good cable for the price. Good for classical/jazz but not the others. It shows the weakness of the system.

DBS battery life. Don't know why one of the cable ran out of battery within the first 6 months. I cann't find any difference when connecting/disconnecting the battery

Mine is 12V version. It is so clear, the mid is opened. It shows how bad my room acoustic is. The bass become tighter, less boomy. I have used it for 1 and a half year, they have upgraded twice to 24v and 36v respectively. But I don't think it is a big deal for me.
