Summary:
This is for the HR-S2901U. I read alot of reviews about vcr's, and quite a few comments were made about how cheap they are nowadays. It's very true, that they don't make 'em like they use to anymore. And, this unit is no exception. It's pretty much all plastic, very lightweight. It feels very cheap. Having said all that, I haven't had any problems with it. Records and plays fine, very good picture.

Strengths:
Very good sound and picture. S-video output.

Weaknesses:
Lots of plastic (feels cheap). No counter/time remaining display on the front panel. This is very annoying to me. And, inexcusable.

Go Video DDV3110 (a much superiorly built unit).
