Price Paid:  $300.00 from Don't remember

Summary:
I bought a 1998 closeout model DDV9650 in 1999. It still works great now 8 years later. It can easily copy VHS tapes with high quality picture and sound. It can be set to automatically match tape speeds, or the tapes can be set to different speeds to fit several movies on one tape. Both decks record, and it can be set to record from two different sources at once. The remote control is one of the best universal remotes I have ever seen. It is easy to set up, and simple to use. It has 2 sets of RCA inputs and one RCA output. It does NOT have an SVideo input or output but later year models may have.

Strengths:
Dual tape decks
Hi-Fi stereo sound for both playback and record
Can copy video while adding sound from another source
Great universal remote
1998 and earlier models ignore copy protection
One-button copying

Weaknesses:
Product manuals for discontinued GoVideo products are no longer available from the govideoelectronics.com website. They used to have them all, but now it only lists current products.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
