Strength:

Sounds good for it's size.

Weakness:

Reliability, Adjustability

Piece of Junk Stay Away. It sounds pretty good for a cheap HT Box setup, however there itsn't much room for playing with the levels in it, or changing the distance you sit from the speakers. Comes with lots of speaker wire, however it is permanantly attached to the speakers so you can't upgrade the cheapy 24G wire.
The first unit i had wouldn't read discs. So I returned it to Target. Got a new one, now the fan in the Amp makes noise and within the past week the DVD player quit reading DVD's. Plays CD's now though.

Stay away from Philips products, especially DVD players. Read reviews online.

Customer Service

Philips is helpful, however they want me to pay shiping on a unit of there's that broke. Would cost about 1/2 what unit originally cost and unit they send won't have warranty.
