Connected to my Sony Widescreen HDTV monitor with DVI input. Used a monster HDMI-DVI cable to get truly remarkable image. The Sony TV screen will not be full, unless or otherwise you watch the presentation at 720p.
I didn't see any difference between 720p and 1080i.
My favorite test of the monitor and the DVD player is a sequence from Bugs Life,and initial scene from Attack of the Clones.
In bugs life, the cantina scene where the hoppers drink/dine under the broken mexican hat, shows the true presentation of diagonally running lines, which looks really smooth, not to mention red color text.
The DVD player allows viewing of JPG image files as a slide show. All your CD should contain is JPG imagesd on a CD-R. Strengths:

Did try Bravo D1 DVD player with DVI output. Picture quality was excellent, but player was bulky large, and had a lousy remote.
