Recently purchased Toshiba 7990 and have connected to a 1080P DLP HDTV. I see no improvement in picture quality moving from 480p to 720p/1080i. At 1080P setting, the picture actually gets much worse and cloudy. See no benefit in having replaced my standard progressive scan DVD player.
Not sure if there are additiional settings, I can do to improve the performance. Would welcome comments from others who have tried to adjust settings and have been successful.
