Summary:
Wow, can I give it more than 5 stars? I guess I was one of the lucky ones to actually see this thing in person. It was at display at a local mom-and-pop home theater installer shop (Santa Ana, CA). I was really amazed at the size: 50 inches. No other manufacturers could even come close; the next size down is 42 inches. BTW, it's not a TV but rather an XGA monitor. A huge one, I might add. Pioneer does sell a TV tuner to go with this thing, however.
Yes, it retails for $25,000. You could actually buy a nice car with that kind of money. However, the owner of the place said they could sell the one that they have on display for $9,900. Just out of curiosity, I called around and other sellers told me that that is probably the best price I could get. Nobody else was willing to beat this price. The closest one was $15,000.

Hmmm. Only if I have $10,000 lying around somewhere.....

PS. Go check this thing out online at www.pioneerelectronics.com

Summary:
Ok..I know this might not be the place for this, but since whoever buys this piece would be using it for Home Theatre (HT), I figured it might be benificial.I have to admit, I would never have had the chance to see one of these if I didn't work for a company that works closely with Pioneer. This display would make even the most dedicated HT freak drool until the cows came home. Without a doubt, this is the best piece of HT equipment I have ever seen. For a plasma screen, the display is surprisingly crisp, clear, and blemish-free. Not to mention the ease of installation; hang it up, stand it up..it's your choice.
Plus, it's HDTV ready (we're all waiting for THIS technology to become mainstream...am I right?). It's less than 4" deep, and weighs a baby 93lbs.
In 16x9 format, you get 1280 pixels horizontally by 768 pixels vertically.

I know this may be out of many people's range (I know it's out of MINE), but if you have a spare $20,000 burning a hole in your pocket, hand it over to your local Pioneer dealer in exchange for one of these.

Wow.
