Summary:
Wow ! Pioneer DV-S9 was originally model for local Japan market , I get it from HK AV shop . It's a really hi-grade DVD player from Pioneer , it's look seriuos , cool and hi-grade . On the other hand , DV-S9 was one of the top models from Pioneer , it's got a lot AV awards from Japan hi-Fi magazines .

The picture was really smooth as film . And it's like LD , quiet natural in colour and not too digital feel . It is because Pioneer want to get more hi-grade LD users change to Hi-grade DVD player , so ...DV-S9 be a pilot for open this gate . The sound from DV-S9 was quiet good as a pure CD deck . From my heart ...I really love it ....And it's quiet perfect to be a top grade DVD player . one star for the double door system on the front panel . it's really looks/feel hi-grade design . Ha !

Summary:
I believe this is the Japanese model number for Elite DV-09... Since I never test on a Elite DV-09... So I do not have any commend on that unit... But for my DV-S9... It is with a golden finishing... COOL looking... Espeically I like the 2 flips opening concept... first I thought the color brightness & control is not as good as my existing Panasonic 570... But after I re-adjust the brigthness and color level... everything seem to be perfect...

I am please with its reading diversity... Most of my friend's DVD player can not do the VCD-R... But not for my DVD player... it do OK... and for some low quality DVD... My Player also can provide good resultion and sound among others... such as Panasonic 570, Sony DVP-S7000, Sony DVP-S7700 etc.

The only thing I do not like my DVD player... is the 525p component video out... Also I would like to see some top loading design...
