Please avaoid this unit at all costs!!!, There is copyright protection in it, that prevents you from making dvd from old vhs movies. So much for a dvd recorder. Also it will not play hybrid SACD's, This $2000 unit is unable to pick up the cd layer of a hybrid SACD!?!?!?, My car cd player can even do that.

Picture quality of the dvd player

Weaknesses:
Pretty much the review says it all!!!, Stay away until this whole copy protection gets fixed or if using a computer dvd-r works better
