Bottom Line:
Used this POS KD-1220 less than 20 times in less than 9 months. Upon power on, the KLH DVD DIGITAL screen comes on without any message of "READING" or "LOADING" a DVD forever. I can hear the disk turning and laser moving for a while and then silence. No buttons on the unit or the remote respond other than the power on/off button on the unit only. The disc is non-removable for good. Therefore the unit is useless for good with the DVD stuck in it.

Bottom Line:
Bought this DVD as a cheap 'tide-me-over' until I got a decent DVD+R and whatever new formats were going to be coming out. So far it still works after about 50-100 DVD's played, only problem with it is the tray sticks intermittently when ejecting, remedied by hitting the eject button twice. Other than the tray problem the unit functions well as a basic player. I would recommend it as a cheap player while you wait for a good unit's price to come down over the next 6 months to a year.

Bottom Line:
I purchased this little POS DVD player for my computer room. Now I will only be using this on a 13 inch tv so no big deal buying a $29.99 dvd player. I am very happy with the player. Everything about it works great. You really can't go wrong for $29.99 and I would have to say pick one up and you should be happy.

Bottom Line:
The DVD player functioned well for a few months. At this point, however, it is almost useless as booting it up it will often not recognize a DVD, and even when it does, it will freeze in mid-playback.
