i was looking for a cd player that plays dvd and guess what,,finally i have bliss in my audio set up,,the dvd and analog dac in the cary both have their own power supply,,therefore better detail,,,this thing weighs 35 pounds so its built like a tank,,wonderfully musical,,live concert dvds literally sound like,,i should be charging admission to view,,in 2 channel i am using a tube amp,,from audio innovations,,and with my quad 22l spk,and eichmann cables all around[with interconnect],,the soundstage is so wide it literally bounces off the side walls,,,,i feel for the money i paid i couldn't ask for a better all round player[cd and dvd player]. Strengths:
very open,,transparant sound,,very musical,,with the eichmann cables i am using i [constantly changing guy]won't be messing with my audio setup for a long time,,,,,sounds like a 1500 dollar cd player,,,easy Weaknesses:
needs a very good copper digital coaxial,,and i think the cd quality dac sounds slightly better then the dvd side Similar Products Used:
