Strength:

can play dvds and vcds.

Weakness:

none that i can think off.

I love this dvd player for its slick design. Super slim and silver to go with my comtemporary decor. Easy to use, easy to hook up without the Sony pricetag. I would definitely recommend this. Overall, great value for money!

Strength:

Well above average audio -OK video. Very reliable.

Weakness:

Controls are slower than slow. You can almost go get a beer and come back before the tray opens up.

Suprise-suprise it's not a bad unit. It's cheap but it's not junk. The DVD section has average picture and features. The CD section is the suprise. It's pretty darn clean. When A/B'd with the the Harmon Kardon DVD-22 it's a toss up. And it just flat smokes my NAD502- no contest on imaging or clarity. If you've got champagne ears and a beer budget this is a good call. Last but not least it's reliable- no problems over 7yrs of constant use in a so/so environment.
