Strength:

--Excellent detail
--Even sound, not harsh at all
--UNUSUALLY good bass response for their size... I don't know what these are rated to go down to, but it's completely irrelevant. You can throw anything at these.
--Respectable crossover considering they're Klipsch's Chinese-assembled budget line
--They actually look pretty neat without the grills, even though I leave them on.

Weakness:

I can't honestly complain because they're already doing way, way more than I paid for. Still, they have some minor faults.

--mids are just not quite there compared to a good reference three-way system (expected)
--upper mids can be a bit shouty at times
--cabinet is vinyl over MDF. Still looks good, and is quite solid, but it's not real wood.
--The bass isn't quite as good at low volumes as when you give them some good juice.

I purchased these to replace my Klipsch Promedia 4.1's and accompany me to college. I had a few people from the Klipsch Forums recommend them to me, along with another friend. I wanted a good bookshelf speaker that would offer better resolution than my PM4.1's and still not need a sub. My friend assured me I would not need a sub, and that they'd easily surpass my PM4.1's. I was suspicious.

Once I fired them up, I was no longer suspicious. These things are absolute monsters for their size. The detail was immediately superior to the PM4.1's, and, surprisingly, the midrange and lower midrange were actually much fuller (and more detailed) despite this being a two-way system and the 4.1's being three-way. I was pretty floored by the bass on top of it all. These things put out bass that defies their size. We're talking powered-subwoofer-like bass here. Everyone who visited my dorm this year looked around for a sub in my room, only to realize there was none. Best of all, unlike many PC speaker systems like the PM4.1, but bass isn't the least bit flabby, and there's zero port noise or enclosure noise to speak of.

Really, for the $330 I spent for these, I'd say they're more than worth the asking retail price. The sound is very even through the entire range, especially in the bass, and the cabinet's really solid, so you don't get any really glaring gross resonances like you'd typically hear in a cheap PC speaker or bookshelf system.

I would highly recommend these. Klipsch must have accidentally over engineered them for their price.
