Bottom Line:
I bought this unit to maintain marital harmony and for late night listening. I was unimpressed when I first plugged it in to the stereo jack on my Sony V444ES receiver. What is clear is that this unit needs to be broken in. After about 40 hours the sound opened up. About 100 hours burn in is preferable. I am using these cans 70/20 home theater and music. With music it is very detailed to the point where some may consider them too analytical. It handles high, mids and highs equally well. The bass is quite detailed. With HT it is very good with scores and vocals. With load explosions it may be challenged to duplicate a la my DefTech 2002TL floorstanders.

I still believe that to get the best of this unit it still needs to be broken in some more and a dedicated headphone amplifier may also help.

You need to get use to how it sits on your head because in the beginning it is a little tight. Compared to my Audio Technica it is not as good in the comfort department.

Overall these are great headphones.
