Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $30.00 from Hifi Shop, St Andrews, Scotland

Summary:
Bargain given the £25 retail price here in the UK, beats all other similarly priced 'phones into the ground, not that there are many to beat. Great for improving the aweful sound on most ghetto-blasters, or for PC use.

I would probably buy another pair if needed, hpugh they are very hardy and can even be trodden on with no ill effects.

Good sound!

Strengths:
Airy sound, light, good looks

Weaknesses:
leaks loadsa sound

Similar Products Used:
various Grado, Beyerdynamic Sony etc.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Hi Fi Club, México

Summary:
If you want to listen to music, shop elsehere. This thing is BAD. It might look very cool because of its color scheme, but pay no attention to it or to the Sennheiser brand. These headphones might probably sound worse than the ones that came with your Walkman.

If you want a nice headphone for your portable system, better check out Koss (PortaPro, SportaPro), Sony (MDR-888 earbuds) or Radio Shack Koss clones (Pro35 and Pro45), because this 'cans are very, very bad. Not worth even 5 dollars.

Strengths:
Light, futuristic, nice colors.

Weaknesses:
Everything related to sound quality

Similar Products Used:
Koss SportaPros, Grado 60s, Sennheiser 490, 580, Alessandro MS-1

Review 4 of 4

Summary:
it sounds bad. highs real weak. but has large pads and pretty comfortable to wear. Long cord, ideal for TV watching. But "downgrades" sound quality when listening to music. I am amazed it is not heavy at all considering its size. Not a bad one for TV (sleep with the head phones on)
, but for music listenning? Definately a no no. 40 dollar is not worth it.

Strengths:
comfortable. long cord for TV

Weaknesses:
Not a phone to listen to music, it fits well to listen to TV

Similar Products Used:
lots of

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
