Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $90.00 from Amazon.com

Summary:
These headphoes sound great and really do a good job of cancelling outside noise WHEN they work, which, unfortunately, is not for very long. I purchased these in March, the left channel died in June. Sony replaced them with a refurb set and the same problem developed 3 months later. They are now out of warranty and Sony will GRACIOUSLY replace them again for $24. Don't think so! Customer service was useless; he did sympathize with me, but that was all. What a warm and fuzzy feeling I got! I will never buy another Sony product; you shouldn't waste your money on these earphones.

Strengths:
Great sound and noise reduction.

Weaknesses:
Design defect that keeps killing one channel. Customer service (somewhere out of the country- surprise, surprise!)

Similar Products Used:
Apple Ipod phones.

Summary:
While pricey, these are great! The sound is awesome and the noicse cancelling does it job. I work in a cubicle environment that can get noisy with hectic deadlines. These headphones with my minidisc player and tunes help me keep my sanity!

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
