Fast, dynamic, detailed and authoritative.

Can sound a little colored if not matched with right equipment and cables.

When I first purchased these speakers I was very excited until I hooked them up and listened. They sounded horrible. I was about ready to box them up and send them back until I remembered reading that they take a notoriusly long time to breakin.(approximately 150-200 hrs.) So, after about 150 hrs. they really opened up and after another 50+ hrs. they began to sing and live up to their reputation.
Which is fast, detailed, dynamic with real grip and authority!
Equipment matching is very important! Equipment that is bright and forward and not very neutral wil not work. Also, placement is very important. They need to be at least 18 to 20 ins. from rear wall, 7 ft. apart and toed in a bit.
Cable type is important as well. Again, neutral cables work well particularly copper configuration. I use audio metallurgy cables with great success.
Once you pay attention to the above mentioned details, these speakers can sound very good! with very good bass( they played 38 Hz. tone very well without any difficulty)
I have also found that the better equipment you use with them the better they sound.
