Bottom Line:
This speaker really add life on what I've heard. Initially I intend to buy the Wilson Sophia, after auditing the Response 4 standing beside, there is no way back to the Wilson.

Response 4, as a full range speaker, do really plays whatever you throw at them very very well. I am very impressed by the way it sings the vocals and classicals.
It makes songs or musics feel so lively that you couldn't bare to listen to other speaker after listening to this speakers.
The highs are silky smooth, though the extension may not be as good as the Diamond or Beryllium tweeter. It can produce a very big and detail soundstage which can immense the listener being like listen LIVE.
The Mids are the one that kills my wallet, the two ATC mids are producing sweet mids, bonds the highs and lows seamlessly.
The Bass produced by the two ATC 9" woofers are punchy and dynamic and fast.

Bottom Line:
These are very demanding speakers, capable of outstanding performance.
Very demanding on the power amps, must be driven by tubes. ProAc recommends
Audio Research but I was not impressed. I use a pair of Einstein OTL mono amps,
rated at 50 Watts into 8 ohms. If positioned correctly, the soundstage is deep and
wide. They deliver surround sound with a two channel system. Very addicitve!
I have not heard anything better yet. These monitors let you hear every tweak, like
the effect of changing the direction of the signal cables.
I achieved a dramatic improvement by simply bi-wiring them.

This is a speaker for the ones with "golden" ears, highest quality tube amps, and a lot of patience to set them up.

Bottom Line:
very handsome made speakers. probably the pyramid for loudspeakers in such size. excellent sound stage and its clarity is amazing. selecting good amplification is important. They sound a little bright for me when using Tag Mclauren. Good sounding with Music reference RM9. I have also tried them on a pair of McIntosh 30 with good result. Musical Fidelity could be nice with them. Need good stands at 24": Target or Foundation would give better bass and better focus.

Bottom Line:
IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH SPACE THIS IS THE BEST CHOICE THAT I NEVER HEART. I LIKE THE SOUND QUANITY ESPECIALLY THE MID RANGE eg. HUMAN VOICE , AS TO THE ORCHASTRA MUSIC IT CAN PROVIDE EXCELLENCE QUALITY IF YOU HAVE THE GOOD POWER AMP. AND ROOM SPACE.

Bottom Line:
1.excellent when listening the piano plays, every note pop out lively from the speaker.
2.it takes a spacious room and accurate positioning to create a precision sound stage. just like a whole orchestra in front of you and every instrument clearly shows where they are.
