Have a pair of the Osborn Eclipse originals and even though they are over 20 years old the sound from these focal drivers and Greg's work is breathtaking. I took the pair of speakers to his place in 2018 and he told me that all the capacitors were still in good condition even after all the years. I have to say they sound absolutely amazing being powered by the Consonance Cyber 880i amp in comparison to my Vincent hybrid amp. If you can afford the amp them my advice is to get them as Greg's speakers sound amazing on them. Dont take my word but go listen to them at his place and you will be blown away.

No weakness in my opinion but if you have a sub standard amp then you will not hear the amazing sound that can be emitted from these speakers.

I have been aware of, recommended to,seen & listened to Osborn Speakers for quiet a few years, seeing Gregs stands at audio shows etc.
Having sold my High End system a few years ago due to divorce, I started from scratch recently, with 30yrs experience to select satisfying components without breaking the bank.
I went to see Greg Osborn at the insistance from some of his satisfied customers saying I wouldn't find better sound at anywhere near his asking prices.
They were 100% right ! the Eclipse 1V speakers I purchased, are the standard model, not the lead lined references & are close to entry level for Osborn's, but they out perform many other brands flagship models.
There are no short cuts here, magnificently constructed, attractively finished very solid cabinets, fitted with highest quality focal drivers, tweeters and hand wound cross overs.(real pride of ownwership stuff)
As for the sound it's all there in spades, high's, low's, transparency, wieght,impact,delicacy,so on,& so on.
I have owned some of the best available local equipment in Aus over the years, the Eclipeses are up there with them at a very reasonable asking price.
