Strength:

Easy placement, excellent dispersion, clean and efficient sound.

Weakness:

These are excellent for Dolby Pro Logic surrounds. However, they are NOT for Dolby Digital due to the limited frequency response. And, if I ever upgrade, what the heck am I gonna do with speakers that only reproduce 120Hz-8kHz? Maybe I can hack them and disable the low pass filter. (if there is one)

Great speakers for VHS Home Theatre, but poor performers with DVD/Digital sound.

These are good rear channel speakers mounted on the wall high above my kg 5.5s!There small enough to take less room, and the drivers each face away from one another for great separation!!
If anyone has kg 5.5s beware i blew the backs off the boxes recently, i had to drive screws thru the sides! The kg4s are still working like brand new flawless!!

Screw the new stuff the way i see it?? Klipsch had nothing to say about the kg5.5s, i ate this!!
I use the kg4s for music and the kg5.5s with synergy surround for movies with an sw10!!
BEWARE OF THE NEWI THINK ITS ALL MADE IN MEXICO
THE BOXES ANYWAY!!!!
Overall the sound from the kg5.5s is overall great having to do the boxes and extra support and padding inside the box!!!
I got them a lot better than they did!! This 5 stars is for me!!!

These are some very nice surround speakers. There unique design really does fill in the rear presence.(180 degree coverage each!) Placement isn't extremely critical but I finally place them as Klipsch recommennded and not where they looked best(smile); Perfect! With the all sound fields my Yamaha DSP-A1 is capabale of, these were perfect. Dolby Digital and DTS play back are incredible through them. No question FIVE for FIVE. The KSF-S5s had a better bandwith(I think) but the KSB-S1s had better sensitivity (95db vs 90db) so they can play pretty load with just the conservative 35 watts they are fed.
