Many audiophiles bewail the so-called horn sound of horn loaded speakers. I cant speak for other horn loaded speakers (not that there are that many others) but these simply do not have the so called horn sound. They are very efficient and may have you reaching for the volume knob sooner than other speakers but the quality of sound will match any of the other highly touted brands like B+W or Magnepan. This is particularly true when one factors in the size of this speaker. The dispersion quality is excellent. Depending on what speakers you have been using before hand you will be hearing sounds unheard prior to using this speaker. What may be considerd the best part of a speaker like this is that it can be driven by a low powered tube amp and does not require a 200 watt monster amp. These really are incredible 'little' speakers and one is doing himself a dis-service not to give them a listen. I have had them for about 3 months now and it still amazes me that the sound they produce is coming from such a small box.

The Heresy III is a truly amazing little speaker, I use thrm for everything from Bolero to the movie XXX ( I like Vin Diesel movie) Although the lower limit id 58 Hz, everything is crisp and clear. These little guys provide tremendous sound ifromr really small floor standing speaker,

Hmm...very efficient, very high quality, great tonality, kind of expensive...all in all it is a Kliosch Heitage Soeaker. I also have Forte II's and Chorus II's as well, and they all have that very efficient and smooth throughout their frequency range.

I bought these as late model Heresy II's and converted them to Heresy III's via the conversion kit available from Klipsch for $277 a side, totally worth it. The efficiency climbed from 97 db 1 watt/1 meter to 99 db 1 watt/1 meter, making them more efficient than anything produced by anybody except Klipsch. The new titanium drivers in the tractrix horn tweeters and squakers offer spectacular highs, midrange and crisp clear bass down to the roll off at 58 Hz.

From the Cowboy Junkies to Nirvana, to Beethoven, these are great speakers. New they now list for $799 each, and they are totally worth it. These speakers are high quality, hand made and last forever.
