sounds great, exceptional sub, lacks a lil mid range, overall great sound (both for movies and especally for music). It is running off a yamaha 5560. I had looked at energy take5, take5.2, boston acoustics micro9000 and bose acoustimass 15 series. I decided on this because it was the best sounding for a great price hope this review helps. my favorite movie benchmark: fast and the furious my favorite music bench mark: Satriani, marvin gaye, dire straits and chiccane

Not a darn thing is wrong with this system

This is a review for the HTS-20 system. I have had it for over a year and it still sounds great. have it hooked up to a sony Dolby Digital receiver and DVD''s have never sounded beter.Great center channel upgrade from the HTS 10 and greater improvement in the 12" subwoofer than the 10" in the HTS-10. Great in a medium to large room and for the price this system can not be beat. Step up sub production and overall speaker production with monster cables. buddy of mine told me they make a huge difference i didn''t believe him but i tried it anyway and wow what a difference. Originally had sub pumping at 3/4 o full volume before sub monster cable, after I have it at 1/4 of the full volume and produces the same sound just super clear base.

When playing CDs (music cds) I have to turn up the volume more in order to get the same result I do with dvds and tape.

Purchased the Infinity HTS-20 sound surround speaker system from Acoustic Sound Design. I experienced absolutely no problems with ordering through them and they had the best price around and I spent a considerable amount of time researching price. I have my HTS-20 system connected to a pioneer vsx 810s receiver and am very satisfied with the sound both from analog and digital sources. The sound is clean and full and the powered subwoofer greatly enhances the special effects. I listened to several other speaker systems such as Bose, Polk, and JBL and I found that I liked these the best. You won''t be disappointed with this system or with ordering through Acoustic Sound Design.

Full spacious sound. Subwoofer is great. Very good for CD music listening. Good wall mounting brackets for the satellites/surrounds.

Cheap speaker wires. No wood screws (#6 or 8 type) provided for mounting on the walls. That caused me a trip to the local hardware store.

This review is for the Infinity HTS-20 Speaker System. When I was researching for a new home theater system, I decided on the Harman Kardon AVR 120 receiver, and mating it with Harman Kardon''s HKTS-5 Speaker System. I have read some nice reviews on both. Well, I went to my nearest Circuit City to listen to the Harman Kardon speakers to make sure that I wanted them. They sounded very nice. The salesperson asked if I had listened to the Infinity HTS-20 speaker system. I hadn''t given them much thought. Well let me tell you that the Infinity''s blew me away!! After switching back and forth from the Harman''s to the Infinity''s (as well as several other speaker set-ups), I knew I had to have the Infinity''s. To my ears, they produced a much fuller and cleaner sound. The center speaker is much better than the Harman''s, as is the 12" subwoofer. And the satellite speakers really surprised me with their fullness as well. The price for the Infinity''s were about $300 more than the Harman''s, but I don''t plan on upgrading anytime some anyway. My speaker investment will likely last for no less than 5 years. Also, since Harman Kardon Internation also owns a piece of the Infinity group, Circuit City gave me a $75 discount with the purchase of their AVR 120 receiver and the Infinity HTS-20 Speaker system. When I set-up the Infinity''s at my home, I was extremely pleased with their performance. I knew I had made the right choice. Their are more expensive speakers out there, but for my money, the Infinity''s suited me just fine. The Infinity''s perform just as well for my music CDs. Give them a listen and you may be surprised!!!

Small size, easy mounting, priced right

After listening to several different models of Home Theater speakers, I decided on these Infinity's. They sound clear with nice bass from the sub. It's probably a little small for our large room (36x16), but it still shakes the walls. The speakers have a nice built-in mounting bracket. I did mount 4 of the satelite speakers in each corner of the room near the ceiling. These speakers are great for a Home Theater, but do not measure up if your really into music. I paid $599 for these from Circuit City with the understanding that I could return them if they did not meet my expectation. They did.......

Big sound, crisp, clear. perfect for any home theater

Paid about $510 with shipping. I can't see ever needing anything bigger or more expensive. I have a 23'X13' bonus room that I have turned into a home theater room , and these speakers blow the house apart.I'm sure the 85 watt per channel Yamaha receiver helps but these small speakers are out of the way attached to the walls and fill the entire room with quality sound. These speakers don't get a 5 rating for nothing. I bought all my home theater equipment ($6,000 worth) from recommendations on this site, and it's been an invaluable resource.Get the infinity's for $500 or less and move on ! Tip: Put a thin padded light switch pad(bought at a hardware store)between the speaker bracket and the wall. This will cut down on any wall vibration of the wall from the front or surround speakers at high volume.

WOW, the ratings tell the story, for $600 this is the system. I couldnt spend $1,000 so I picked up these and Wallah, I think I'm in a movie theater. Can't be more pleased, if ur thinking about buyin these, dont think run to the store and get it you'll be amazed what 600 dollar speakers can do.

Use them with the Sony 835 which works very good with this system (Infinity is owned by Sony) I am one happy camper.

Bought these for my dad. They sound great. Not as good as the definitives, but for almost half the price, they're tough to beat.

Just a correction to the previous review - Infinity is not owned by Sony, it is owned by Harmen International, the same company that makes JBL.

Somewhat weak center speaker, Sub distorts at times

I have researched many speakers over the last 3-6 months, and determined that these were the best for the money. Bose are held by so many in such high regard, but as I expected, these Infinity's outperformed them for half the price. They are a bit lean in the mid-range, but that is to be expected from a speaker this size. The blend between satellite and sub is well balanced. The Infinity HTS20 offers a better subwoofer and a better center speaker, therefore, I am planning on upgrading to that system. (The subwoofer has been known to distort at times, and the center speaker is too small). Overall, an outstanding value for your hard earned dollar, and a great compliment to the already impressive line of Infinity products.

I was ready to pick up a set of Boston Acoustices SAT/SUB when I noticed the Infinity's price tag. I was intrigued by the system. It sounded good at the store, but I really wanted to test it at home. I had nothing to lose and it was cheaper than the Boston Acoustics. I figured if it didn't sound quite as I hoped I would return them and pick up the BAs. Nothing to lose. Let me say that this little sat/sub system is no slouch. The sound from the speakers are crisp and the subwoofer can deliver plenty of bass when the knob is passed the 3/4 position. I was concern about the satelite speaker's performance because it's weight was very light compared to a polk's sat speaker or a BA's sat speaker. I decided to thest them out with several DVDs. When I played "DAYS OF THUNDER" the sats filled the room with screeches and vrooms that sounded from one side of the room to the other. When I played "JURRASIC PARK" the raptors hissed sharply all over the room and behind the couch while T-REX shook my living room walls. When I played "THE ABYSS" I felt my ears pop as the submarine beacon echoed throughout the room. This system met and exceeded my expectations. I thought I would end up repacking this system after one week, but Im keeping it in my living room for a while. The system is very crisp, and precise. The subwoofer is better than average, and the price makes up for any disadvantages. The only one con I can think of the system needs a larger gauge speaker wire to decrease resistance. (16 Ga were included)
