Strength:

Bass and clarity

Weakness:

I actually wanted bookshelves , but got these for the same money, so they are kinda big, but no real weaknesses that i can see. I'm not actually sure what year the model came out on, but they are listed at £499 in What HIfI

These speakers sound great, the bass and midrange are superb and for the money paid they are great value. They fully compliment my Arcam CD player and cleary identify the copied(ripped) CD's from the original. They actually cost £199 , but system does not take £'s

I listen almost exclusively to classical music and had been looking for a speaker that would be lively, clear, transparent, let the warmth of the strings come through without shrillness, and have just enough bass but not overwhelm everything else. These British speakers do all that, and I like them so much, in fact, I bought a pair of Heybrook HB1s for a second system. Highly recommended for those who listen to classical/acoustic music -- especially at this price.

Strength:

Treble, middle and bass. Very realistic sounding.

Weakness:

Not the best finish, but still nice looking.

Great sound! Drums and acoustic string instruments become very realistic. Very neutural sounding speaker. The tre-way construction is well integrated. The bass, middle og treble never separates in the soundspectre. Very harmonic and smooth treble, the bass plays the lows with great authority due to the quick responding units and the big cabinet.
