Strength:

Very musical, easy to drive, excellent in vocal performance and tight base.
Also very nice craftsmanship.

Weakness:

very pricey when buy new

When my buddy moved back to France due to job relocation, I bought some of his audiophile gears. The pair of Cabasse Sumatra MT420R is the one I like the most. With 94 db sensitivity, you don't need big power amplifier to drive it.Thanks to the bi-amp configuration. I ended up using a solid state for the woofer and a tube amplifier for the tweeter. Using tube amplifier for the high makes the female vocal much more soft and sexy (personal taste). According to the manual, the speaker should place toe-in 45 degree toward to the listener. I tried to place it parallel and the sound stage is lost. Also, if I place the speaker further away from wall, the kick of the drum is much focus and control. This speaker love big room. If you find a good deal on used one, buy it New one going to cost you.
