Strength:

solid as hell, great looks, highs, mids, lows.... and they're Bostons.... so they are very unassuming.... not produced anymore.... and new Boston stuff is crap.

Weakness:

No reviews, not as transparent as my high-sensitivity speakers.... lol... that's about it.

I bought these speakers from a poor guy who paid full price ($2k) at Showcase/Tweeter. His wife was convinced they were too large and they needed a compact Bose sytem...ugh. They are built like tanks at 55 lbs each.... and the real cherry wood veneer is gorgeous. I can literally balance dimes on these speakers when they are at full force. Highs, mids, bass are all wonderful. This is a speaker that demands some power though.... even at 92db... they just sound better with my high-power solid-state amps than they do with a 35-watt EL34 based tube amp. This is a speaker that I will keep..... and as they age, I will replace the surrounds.... they're that good.
