I had a 55in Hitachi that bit the dust on me. It was the week of the Super Bowl and of course I was having a party and expected to deliver the game on a big TV. So I did my homework and found this beauty was on sale for $2000 @ Best Buy. Only problem was most Best Buys were out, but I did find one.
Long story short, this baby is amazing!
The picture it produces is unreal. My PS3 does a great job on it
and overall I couldn't be happier with this Samsung.
They are at the end of life, but if your able to find one, def try to grab it!!!

Weakness:

Wireless USB disconnects itself

I decided to replace my Toshiba 1080i RPTV with something more suitable for bluray and PS3 gaming. After I saw the Samsung's picture in the store, I was sold on it. I waited unitl the price dropped enough before I made my purchase. The picture is definitly awesome, especially with bluray media. After I calibrated the set I was a little disappointed in the black levels. But what can I expect out of a 50,000:1 contrast ratio set? Even with the black level issue I am pleased with my purchase. The color and clarity are leaps above my old RPTV.

I did order the wireless usb module for the "infolink" web content. Although it does work, the connectivity somehow defaults back to "cable" connection. When this happens the infolink doesn't work. I sent an email to Samsung about 4 weeks ago, and still await a response.

Customer Service

Well, since I have not heard from Samsung for about 4 weeks on the wireless usb functionality, I would say at this point customer service SUCKS. That could change

Strength:

Ease of set up. Beautiful picture right out of the box. Plenty of inputs, great picture, great picture GREAT PICTURE. Numerous inputs, 120mHz refresh rate, and "Toch of Color"

Weakness:

Remote is designed to slide off of flat surfaces.

With the death of the Ole Mitsubishi CRT, time had finally come for a new tlevision. After much research it came down to a choice between a 62" DLP and this 52 incher. In the end I went with the Samsung LCD because the picture was/is so spectacular. Easy to set up, she looked marevelous right out of the box. Beautiful fit and finish and well laid out. Remote's a bit clunky but that's small quibbles. My first LCD and boy am I impressed. I love this thing!!!!

I've no Blu Ray DVD yet and I only get 1080i from my cable so I've yet to see this puppy in all it's glory but I don't see how it can get much better than this.
