Review NaN of , from Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Soundsaround

Summary:
This is an awesome product. Period. I had been wanting a MiniDisc player for several years but was waiting for them to either drop in price or have more features and accessories. Fortunately the MZN 707 fullfilled both those needs... and more! I got mine for an awesome deal ($294CAN instead of $399CAN) and it comes with everything you could ever need.

My biggest suprise was the sound quality, call me crazy but in Normal mode the sound quality is superior to CD's... even if it was recorded of a CD. In LP2 Mode the sound quality also seems better than CD. LP4, However, is a joke. It has terible sound. So much for those 32x recordings!

Strengths:
- Awesome Value
- Plenty of accessories
- Sturdy construction (magnesium die-cast lid)
- Very compact
- Mic in!!
- Sweet headphones (one the Canadian model, unfortunately the ones on the US model suck)
- Sweet color, would have prefered black, but i am liking the color more and more every day. (and black is not available in Canada)
- Rechargable battery
- The list goes on!

Weaknesses:
- The remote is a peice of... If you are like me, you will have an LCD remote from a newer model Sony Portable CD player. Everything works fine with it. For the the cost of the unit, however the included remote is a joke.
- LP4 recording mode is terrible sound
- Bad headphones on US model (Canadian ones rock!)
- could be slimmer with addition of gum bettery but, oh well

Review NaN of , from Canada

Price Paid:  $399.00 from The Sony Store

Summary:
Just to think that I only wanted to buy an mp3/cd player. I find this thing and everything looks amazing in it except for the price ofcource. But if you want somehting good then you must pay for it. So i said screw it and i went for it and bought it. The price was high but the things it offerd was worth it. First and really important for me was, how small it is. Its just alittle bigger then the Minidisk it self in height and about 3 minidisks in width. Then i tested the battery life and i was quite impressed. I have used it for around 6 months now and there where in fact situation that i have droped it and my heart almost stopped but to my surprice, nothing happend to it. Except when i droped the remote control, the volume control fell out. SO i had it replaced but in general its pretty strong. Oh and did did I forget to mention that i love the blue color it comes in.

Strengths:
For sure the size of it is incredible, the accesories it comes with, Battery life and the easy software provided by sony for fast and easy transfering of songs, can holdup couple of falls but don't make it a habbit, Rechargeble batteries.

Weaknesses:
Romote isn't too good of quality.
Price
Need some time to learn how to use the features.
The headphones quality isn't good.
