Review NaN of , from Australia

Price Paid:  $260.00 from Barcelona

Summary:
There are no listings for the MZ-R35 which is what I want to review.
So here goes, I worked as a coach driver in Europe, played up to 8 hours of music and so loved the long life battery it came with. Also the duel line and headphone out options made recording whilst playing the music out to the coach via a tape adaptor, the best mobile recording studio.
Great little unit. It's about 3-4 years old from when I bought it. I've dropped it heaps and it still works like a little champion. Great unit.

Strengths:
Headphones out AND Line out. Long battery life.

Weaknesses:
Size

Review NaN of , from New York, NY USA

Price Paid:  $179.00 from www.inetshopping.com

Summary:
This MD player is so compact (i think it is the world's smallest?) and also very easy to use. First I thought it was too small thinking the buttons would be hard to use, but since it comes with a job shuttle, it is really easy to navigate through the menu. I was planning to buy the newer Sony's (like the MZR900, MZR700) but the newer units doesn't come with the gumstick type batteries so the back of the MD has a bump where you put the AA batteries. it looks a bit to ugly. Anyway, i know this is last year's MD player but i think it looks nicer and sound much nicer than the newer ones. (i tried the newer ones at a local store) Well if you're looking for one, i would recommend this one.

I would also recommend buying it at www.inetshopping.com. I did a lot of surfing but i believe they had the lowest price. anyway, they customer service was good too...

Strengths:
Super Compact and Lightweight plus very easy to operate

Weaknesses:
it is last years model (but who really cares)

Review NaN of , from Detroit, Michigan,USA

Summary:
I think that if you are looking for a minidisk player/recorder then look no further. There is no comparison to this player it rules. I've got all of the Sony line MD players and this is the only one I will ever use. Don't fall for smaller and lighter because those ones break in a week. The MZ-R37 That I have has been run over by my Lincoln Navigator SUV. I also think that if you want small and light this one is both of those it is about half as light as a portable CD player. Get it it is awesome all around.

Strengths:
Great sound, Great portability, Great features, Great overall player

Weaknesses:
none this player rules the world of minidisk

Review NaN of , from Brisbane Qld OZ

Summary:
To start I don't really like MD, I find DAT a whole lot better but you must be prepared to cough up alot of money to buy the equipment so I can see your point of supporting the Mini Disc, sure its features are great and it's now becoming the easiest way of recording anything. However, what about the sound? That's the big question, and to be truthful the sound does not match CD or the master it was recorded off, it's verging on close but it doesn't quite cut it, Md beats compact cassette hands down but when reviewers say it's 'So close to DAT or CD' it makes me laugh.

What I use MD for is to dub mp3's from my PC and the machine I use is the MZ-R30. From my experience I will say no other MD portable comes close, Great sound, excellent battery life and ease of use make this the one to get. Sadly it is now discontinued but its new version, the MZ-R70 is just as good if not better. My advice, don't buy the small, expensive sony portables because you are wasting your money the outputs are so quiet and the false battery life printed on the box really annoy me. All my MzR55 did was collect dust before I sold it, while my MZ-R30 to this date has never let me down.

MZ-R30 OR MZ-R70 - You will not buy better
Highly Reccommended

Strengths:
One of the best sounding MD portables

Weaknesses:
None at all - Stunning
