Summary:
I got this from someone who thought it was dead. I was planning to use it for parts. I hooked it up to test it and it works fine. I found that it will be very picky about toslinks. It will also have trouble reading TOC for any MD recorded on any other brand player but sony. The sound is first rate. The build quality is outstanding. The sound is fast and revealing.

Strengths:
built like a tank, good quality.

Weaknesses:
Has issues on reading TOCs. The toslink outs have issues.
