Musical Fidelity X-DACv8
1 Reviews
rating 5 of 5
MSRP 1500.00
Description: The X-DACv8's technical performance is right out with the very best available at any price. When compared to a kW25, apart from a different noise ratio, the X-DACv8 equals it in almost every department.

Sonically the X-DACv8 is virtually indistinguishable from the kW25. Only in the finest, most exotic, most expensive and most powerful system will the differences between the X-DACv8 and the kW25 become apparent.

When the technical performance and sound quality are coupled to its competitve price and multiple inputs including USB and X-DACv8 offers extraordinary value-for-money.
Bottom Line:
i had listened to Stello DAC as compared to Cambridge Audio 840C, both are almost at par, except for the piano-play where Stello was lacking the details an vocals were of similar characteristics. When trying x-DAC v8, this was surprisingly good. Piano was more lively with details and vocal stood out more nicely. The only thing was Solid-State didn't appear to be different to tube, perhaps due to the needed run-in time.
