Strength:

Ease of operation, good looks, great sound, and controllable by a Sony receiver remote!

Weakness:

NONE...

When it comes to inexpensive but above par equipment Sony is king and this is an example of this.

Strength:

Good looking, quick search, you can fade out songs automaticly, Ex-change system nice to have, low cost.

Weakness:

A little noisey when searching for cd.

If you are looking for good features, good sound and a great price, all under a good brand with some very minor flaws, This is the one to pick up.

Had a model very close to this one for about 5 years.

Strength:

Peak Search, Optical Output, Automatic programming of a CD's play list for recording to tapes of various time lengths.

Weakness:

No remote control. However, I have an old Sony Amp/Reciever, so that works fine.

I am not an Audiophile, by any means, but I like my music. I can't tell the difference between one CD player and the next, in terms of bass/treble/midrange, etc. This product works, it isn't expensive (about $200 Canadian) and combined with good speakers and amp, I find it sounds great.

Similar Products Used:

I had an older model Sony Carousel Changer before this one. It was about 10 years old, the lens had died once before.
