I got this player as a temporary replacement while my Marantz CD-46 was being repaired. Well, to be honest, I didn't like this Sony, because it has no real
imaging capabilities and has quite harsh treble. It may be the combination with my HK 6100 amplifier which emphasizes this, because the HK has a tendency to be very revealing of sources or recordings with rough treble.
It has a good range of features though, but if it were for the sound, I wouldn't buy it.
