Makes my speakers (B&W 805's) really sing, lots of depth, clarity and transparacy to this player. I used it with my Counterpoint SA-100 AMP - and the sound is just fantastic. Highly recommended.

Once a state of the art, all out cd player, this old machine might heve seen its better days. The fact is, however, that this player can be compared to many of todays modern cd players. In its original state it might not be so impressive; slightly thinsounding in its highs and with a fairly tight bass. But if you have the guts to do some small changes with it, it might be ekstremely rewarding. (By replacing two ugly 2200uF el. capacitors with the two best quality polyprop. (4,7uF) you can afford, connecting these directly from the plus(+) of the removed el. capacitors and onto a new set of (WBT?) RCA plugs. Also, take the minus(-) cable from the RCA plugs directly from the printcard. Then kut away all small picofarad, orange caps (the size of a small dime) at the underside of the analoge prints. (they're only there to prevent radiointerference from the player, some kind of goverment regulations.) By doing this, you'll fint that the player is able to show it's true qualities. Very realistic sound, great dynamics and amounts of inner detail...You will be surprised to find what lives inside this ol' player!
Happy listening.
