Bottom Line:
Cons: only a 110 volt power supply and quite demanding amp draw >1.5 amps @12 volts
when i had to replace my power supply ( some idiot plugged mine in to 220 when i was on a deployment)
Pros: very durable

Possibly self limited internally by bose. Never heard a crackle or distortion (regardless of volume level on the input, never tested it though extensively in that regard) as long as i gave them plenty of amps to work with. Made a for a great set of speakers to take on deployment.
