Strength:

Dual 5" Kevlar mid bass drivers with 1" soft dome tweeter. Bi wire or bi amp capability ( I used them bi-wired ). Large bass port in the rear REALLY extends the low end!

Weakness:

If any, they can turn just a bit "brass-ish" when driven to VERY high volume levels with SACD or DVD-Audio. I didn't notice this nearly as much with movies. Rear bass port makes placement from back wall. I kept turning down my subs, only to discover the slammin' bass I was hearing was coming from my center channel ( a real coin toss as to whether it's a strength or weakness

Compact size with big time sound. Wharfedale is Britian's oldest loudspeaker - since 1942, and this one gets 5 stars from me ( I was going to buy KEF's offering at comparable price point to voice match new side surrounds, but got Diamond 8.1's instead there, also ).

Customer Service

I bought mine direct from the US distributor ( the same group handles Quad, and Mission - not bad company to keep ). I phoned about a new grille about 6 mos. ago. They said normally they weren't covered by warranty, but sent me one " no charge " anyway ( without my needing to get insistant about it ( the only defect was having been faded by the sun ).
