Bottom Line:
I would highly recommend this center for those on a budget, i bought this Polk when it was on sale and could not be happier with it's performance. Glass breaks, swords touch, you can feel it nicely through this speaker.

Bottom Line:
I purchased the CSi20 because Polk recommended it (or the CSi30) to complement my R50 front surrounds and R20 rear surrounds.

I'm not too happy with this center channel speaker, and in fact, I'm about to upgrade to a CSi30 and use the CSi20 as a rear center (6.1 setup).

The 87 db response rate is different from all other speakers I use, which operate at 90 db. You can easily adjust for this in the calibration, but this has varying effects at different volume levels.

The single mid/woofer limits the ability of this speaker. Additionally, the upper -3 db limit is only 18kHz.

Keep in mind that your center channel speaker is the most worked speaker. Almost all dialogue comes out of the center channel.

I only wish I had not tried to save $50. Yes, the CSi30 is only $50 more expensive.

Bottom Line:
This center speaker matches my Polk Audio RT800i's. The combination of these speakers will delight even the most critical of audio and home theater listeners. The speaker has good response and when paired with a good reciever you couldn't ask for more. The best center speaker for the money.
