Rockford Fosgate RFP4212
2 Reviews
rating  4 of 5
MSRP  109.00
Description: Let Rockford Fosgate throw a "Punch" and lesser subwoofers will throw in the towel! That's because the redesigned Rockford Fosgate Punch HE2 RFP4212 12" subwoofer produces the kind of bass that's a pure knockout. The thump comes from a cone made from rugged yet responsive polypropylene. The result — the kind of bass extension, definition, and power that you expect from Rockford Fosgate. <p /> A large roll treated foam surround guarantees more cone travel for more bass, while a stepped basket makes sure that the cone doesn't "bottom out." Choose the hook-up option that's right for you with dual 2-1/2" 4-ohm voice coils. <p /> <ul> <li>polypropylene woofer with large roll treated foam surround</li> <li>dual 4-ohm voice coil design</li> <li>CONsealer gasket hides mounting screws and stops bass-robbing air leaks</li> <li>frequency response 28-200 Hz</li> <li>power range 100-400 watts RMS (200 watts per voice coil)</li> <li>peak power 800 watts</li> <li>sensitivity 86 dB SPL</li> <li>top mount depth 6-3/16"</li> <li>sealed box volume 0.9-2.79 cubic feet</li> <li>ported box volume 1.75-4.0 cubic feet</li> </ul>

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Buffalo Supersale

Model Reviewed:
2003 Rockford Fosgate rfp4212

Summary:
My girls chest vibrates to these, wow! I have each he2 hooked up to an earthquake 300.1, these are sweet.

Strengths:
Good sound, don't require massive amounts of power to run. NOTE TO EVERYONE, PLEASE NEVER BUY PYRAMID or LEGACY PRODUCTS,

Weaknesses:
Basket is stamped steel, weaker than alpine's cast aluminum. Sub cone is some kind of plastic compared to Alpine's kevlar.

Similar Products Used:
Alpine type-r, sony, kenwood, lanzar.

Review NaN of , from Houston

Price Paid:  $200.00 from best buy

Model Reviewed:
2003 Rockford Fosgate rfp4212

Summary:
this sub is h*lla worth it. it's not the hardest hitting but it is clean. i have a decently sized coupe, solara, and it hits so hard my a$$ cheeks get numb. if ur lookin for good hit and a reasonable price for a 400w rms sub...this is where u wanna go.

Strengths:
it hits hard and has a nice lookin cone structure. rockford makes some good qaulity sounds.

Weaknesses:
these are mainly used for sealed enclosures and u can't put a grill on it so u havta be careful bout things hittin the sub itself. otherwise, this thing rocks.

Similar Products Used:
infinity kappa perfect 12.1d...it wasn't the same, i kept blowin those out for some reason. really sensitive but if fed correctly they also sound jus as good.
