Good low freq. handling

High freq. just disappears, vocals etc sounds held back

This cable was sold to me as neutral and allround. I guess people with a too bright sounding system could like it, but with a well balanced amp and cd-player (which I belive I have...)I have problems standing the held back sound of this cable. I know use ordinary cheap copper wire instead, though this cable lacks in bass and tightness.

I have this cable on my second system. It was a big improvement over the lamp cord that I was using. I know alot of people say that there is no difference in cables. I was in the middle, but now I am starting to lean a little!
I connected the Omni cables and the Prism 11 interconnects that I bought at the same time! The music became clearer! It was like opening the window! Really!
This is a great cable for the price ($1.00 foot)

I purchased the Prism Omni cable about three months ago. I have a pair of Klipsch KG 3.5s. I was looking for a cable to help smooth and soften the highs.The Tara cable really helped out. It was a significant first step to iimproving
the problem areas of my speakers. I only paid $1.50 a foot and it was well worth it.

I have been using the Omni speaker cables for about a month now with my Def. Tech Pro Cinema speaker system and I mustsay I am impressed with their performance. After an extensive break-in period, I have found the Omni to be a very good
budget cable. It has a very neutral quality to it that errors slightly on the warm side. Since my Def's tend to be slightly bright, I
have found the two to work brilliantly together, and since the same tweeters and essentially the same mid-ranges are used for
most other speakers in the Def. line, I would expect this cable to work well with any Definitive speaker. Essentially, the Omni
is not the perfect cable, and there are better cables out there, but for the money, I can't think of any. I give the cables 4
speakers for outright performance, and 5 when their sub $2 per foot price tag is put into the equation.

I added these to my HT system, and bedroom system, replacing Monster XP speaker cable in both systems. It was mostly an improvement in all categories, with the exception of the upper high-end ("air" range). I got more of the top end "air" with the Monster, and I would guess the reason is that the Monster had thinner strands of copper wire (which carries higher frequencies better), whereas this Prism Omni cable has rather thick and stiff strands of copper. But overall, I guess you can say this is better-than-average speaker cable. Especially if you have a bright sounding system.

I got Prism Omni cables to replace the cheap standard speaker wire in my system and was quite disappointed with them. Sound is cleaner and smoother but overall the music has a restrained feel to it. Vocals (female in particular) lose their prescence and sound uninvolving.
If I had been able to audition these at home before buying I wouldn't have spent any money on them. They might help to smooth out harsh treble in a bright system though...

Smart design, ease of stripping (no loose strands). Clean midrange for the price.

Not very flexible (not a big concern). Not as much bass weight as some larger Monster Cable at a similar price

This cable is going from NAD 314 to B&W DM302. The clarity is greater than the competitors at this price point. This could be due to the lack of bass weight.

I bought the Omni cables to replace my AuioQuest F14's when I upgraded from Dali 104 speakers to AudioPro A2.42 Live. With the AQ, the sound was extremely detailed but bass was thin. This worked well with the bass heavy Dali's, but with the much more balanced and neutral AudioPro's, it tired my ears. So, I decided to go for the Omni's instead. They're better balanced with a deep and rich bass, slightly on the warm side of neutral. Treble may not be as informative as the AudioQuest, but on the whole the sound has improved. I recommend this cable to bright sounding equipment that lacks bass.

Well, I'm really not a member of the lunatic fringe of "golden-eared" listeners, but this cable sounded pretty damn good to me. I picked up a pair of 10-ft lengths, with good quality banana plugs on all ends. I plugged the Prism Omnis into my system (NAD 317 integrated amp, Paradigm Phantom speakers), and I was off to the races.
The build quality of the cable is extremely high, and the price is excellent (I only paid $1/ft.). The sound quality seemed great, too, especially considering that my new apartment is pretty harsh acoustically (hardwood floors). I imagine it'll sound even better when I lay a rug down, but for now, I'm quite happy. I don't know about restrained female vocals, either -- some of my favorite bands prominently feature female vocals (Low, Slowdive, Versus, Stereolab, etc.), and they all sounded great on my system with the Prism Omni cable installed.

Of course there's better cable, but imo, it's not worth the price. The next step up from the Omni costs 3X as much, and the difference in sound quality is negligible. I'm content with the Omni, and I have money left over to buy the important stuff: ACTUAL MUSIC! :-) Four and one half rounds up to five stars.

Better level of clarity

Before the Omni, I used a pair of cheap speaker cables to connect (single-run) my Nakamichi AV-10 to Mission 771.

Using the Omni to biwire the speakers, the sound does improve by revealing higher level of clarity and details of music.

For US$90 (around $5.5/ft), I'm quite satisfied with the performanace it brings to my system.
