This is a well built cables, very attractive packing with the storage cases, sonic-ally very disappointed,I bought it because I need a 10 ft bi-wire and try the time correct technology,to replace my Audioquest bedrock 8 ft,once I installed this cable,my hifi become low fi,the time correct slow down all the rhythm, one simple explain, the music is not musical, after a burn in period,no improvement,I didn't turn on my system for months,I thought I don't like music anymore.

Strength:

Klipsch are made to be bi-wired !! Monster bi-wire is the logical choice. Try it, you'll love it.

Weakness:

Big cables are very noticable, but for a gearhead like me..I like the appearance.

Assembled my ultimate bookshelf system consisting of Klispsh RB-75 frt, RB-25 side, RC-25 center. Note: stickers on speakers claim; internally wired with bandwith balanced Monster cable. I used 15 ft Z-2 bi-wired on RB-25 on ceiling corner mounts. I then proceeded to build my own, bulkier and less attractive bi-wires out of Monster wire stock. The salesman was very cooperative, and was interested in hearing the difference himself. I preferred the Z2 bi-wired RB-75 to the straight run flagship Kef floorstanders! (base not withstanding) Bi-wiring smooths and defines the midrange, brings even greater clarity to the highs, drums are deeper, they hit then stop..very impressive and tight base for 8 in woofer. I use Denon AVR 1604, 6.1, 75w rms per ch. reciever. Klipsch RW-12 sub with Monster sub cable. Optical Monster linked Sony SACD player with full anolog interconnects from AR. I never opened the throttle fully, but at 8/10ths it rocks the walls...what's absolutely great..no percievable distortion!

Strength:

Price they are built like a tank and the sound stage

Weakness:

none for this price

I have had these cables for 3 years and have had them on 3 sets of speakers.
First pair klipsch rf7's Tannoy saturn s10 and Von schweikert vr2's.
They made all of these speakers soud very tight in the bass range smooth in the mids and great detail in the highs.
For the price i don't think you will do any better.
I have the 15ft pairs
The sound stage is very big and open and clean.

Strength:

Superb detail and soundstage.

Weakness:

None whatsoever.

I had LinnK400 bi wire hanging from my Totem Rainmakers. A friend of mine has a set of Linn speakers, so i sold him the K400 and purchased the Z2 biwires. I must say there is a definate improvement. Detail is better and soundstage defies my room! I had heard that Linn cable is only good for Linn speakers....perhaps this is true, because the monster puts it to shame! Apparently the cables will "warm up" somewhat upon usage, but I cant imagine them sounding any better. Some will say that monster is more of a marketing company, but I have Z series interconnect and now the bi-wires, and I must say I am pleased. I have a Rega planet2000 as a source, the Rainamkers, Yamaha RXV1500, and a Minivee sub from Velodyne. I want to move into a pre/power system, but al in good time. Anyway thumbs up for monster! Highly recommended.

Strength:

BEtter separation, detail, and stage placement. Fuller heavier wieghtier, tighter bass, more ambience (given the recording enviromnet was going for that) more resonance and inner tone from the inside out (the trademark of a good musician) For $300, Its a definite high performance to price ratio.

Weakness:

None I can hear. Just let the music be your judge.

Z2 Bi-Wire (15ft/pr) use on Infinity Crescendo 3009,Hafler P4000, Parasound P/HP 850 Pre, Monster Interconnects. Super Audio, Vinyl, and 16/44 CD''s though a Digital Audio Denmark DAAD Converter. Well Im a muscian so I really listen for the life-like characteristics of musical insreuments. Played Classical Piano for over 30 years, as well as saxaphone and clarinet. Equally trained in Classical and Jazz Music. First off, the cable is outsatnding as I expected and a big improvement over the 10AWG Zip cable I had before. I would say Bi Wire helps alot (depending on equipment and room) I heard a greater separation of frequency, broader sound stage, more musical presence, detail and mostly overall smoother operation. A big enough difference to feel good I payed nearly $300 for these puppies. The Super Audio Earth Wind and Fire Gratitude sounded out of this world. I''ve been listening to this recording since I was 8 years old. The cables brought out all the above-mentioned characteristics plus a fuller, wieghtier sound overall. I also played Diane Krall''s the look of love (I''m a Claus Ogermann Man) Beautiful voice and orchestration. The voice was deifintly more prominent but less strained. The soundstage, again, is fuller because the cable carried more signal. Lastly San Fransicso Symphony Direct Super Audio recording of Mahler 6th with Michale Tilson Thomas. Wow! Super audio is scarey good enough already. But these recordings where the signals never sees the light of PCM are frieghtening. As far as I know, you have to go to the Sf Symphony performance to buy it at the concert. As in Vinyl, Super Audio''s treatment of percussion and Brass is outstanding. This stuff is slap-yo mama good! The cables really brought out the orchestration, instrumentation, reocrding and the instrumentation. Sony has an agreement to come in and record Mahler''s Symphonies 1-10 with SF Symphony over the next 5 years. THe point is that the cables help bring out all these to your systems maximum capabilities. I cant find the words for it but it was so good it made me wanna cuss with excitement. Pure music! I do recommend the Z2''s and biwiring. I would have to hear these other hi-end thousand dollar cables to justify getting them (for me anyway). Im very happy. I know theres better out there on paper but when you look at cost/performance ratio, I dont think I could do better.

Strength:

Great price for performance

Weakness:

None

Used the "Z" series bi-wire on my new Martin Logan "Requests". Excellent choice and performance. I had a straight wire hook up prior. Much better overall sound. I do believe a bi-wire can help. Never owned Transparent or any $2K cables etc., but I can't imagine hearning anything better. Used the Monster 5000 power as well.

Good bang for the buck

Weakness:

Good Value.. I had classic monster thick wire with spades and plugs with the stock jumpers for my B&W 640I's.
Yes these bi-wires helped, others might have been better, but for the money it was worth it. Bass got more defined and the mids show more now. Also the highs are pushed back on the sound stage. This was a tough call to make.. I had sales dudes telling me that you did not need to bi-wire, just need good jumpers, but if you look in the demo rooms, all speakers are bi-wired. My thoughts are if you have good speakers, a good system, then you should have good cable.. Oval9s looked good but more money.. I would rather save money for other gear at this point.

Hooked these up today on Klipsch KLF 20's. The mids are clean and sharp as is the bass. I do believe that bi-wiring is better, at least with the KLF 20's.I had the M series 1.2S and these Z2 cables outperform from the start. In this price range the Z2's are worth listening to.

Strength:

Fine cable, fantastic build, BIWIRED, labled for bass and treble, insulated.

Weakness:

Uh, gee, not as expensive or touted as much as more expensive cables.

OK, I love higher end cables for numerous reasons. The ends are gold plated, the wires are sealed with respect to oxidaion, the ends are sealed with respect to any stray fragment wires, and shielding of cables in general. And, have to love that these guys are biwired - so clean and neat. Great looking product!!

So, lets move along. There are much more expensive cables out there. EVERYTHING I have read, except info from manufactures of cables (including Monster), says that cables only have the benefits that have just been mentioned. So, go spend thousands - but cannot see why. A high end exclusive cable seller told me that I will hear little difference, if any at all with high end cabes - but I would convince myself that I did, due to high cost of purchase - absolute truth!!

I would be willing to spend much more, but research has proven it to be wasteful. Do the reserach first...then buy these or BetterCables or the like. Mike. Luv to hear your thoughts! Skyhawk182@aol.com
