Strength:

A very well made cable. More bandwidth (to my ears anyway) than the cheaper optical cables.

Weakness:

You may or may not benefit from it depending on your equipment. A little more expensive than I would like.

I wasn't expecting much of a difference in this cable over the cheap-o $15 optical cable I was using but there sure is one. Build qulity is one noticable difference. I have much less concern about this cable getting a 'kink' in it than the old cable. The optical cable itself is of a better grade than the "cheap stuff" and the ends are also highly polished so there are going to be fewer optical imperfections to interfere with the transfer of your digital data between your components. However as neil says below it is just 'bits n bytes' and depending on the quality of your hardware you may or may not be able to take advantage of the additional bandwidth. My advice? If you are happy with the sound you are getting from your digital coaxial connection, don't bother. If you prefer the sound from your optical connection and are considering an upgrade go ahead and try this cable.
