Wow! What a difference. I was running a reasonable cable (looked hefty) from my local electronics superstore and thought that all was well with my system. Recently I changed CD players from a Rotel RCD-940BX to a Arcam Alpha 5 plus. The bloke I bought it from suggested I get better cables. I have always been suspicious of the prices charged for interconnects.... Lots of snake oil if you ask me.
Well. I was stumped. The difference the Audioquest alpha-snake has made to my system has been substantial... And this is not the audio placebo talking. I plugged them in and listened from a cynical-I-just-wasted-cash point of view. The music won within the first 30 seconds. I eat humble ignorance pie. Cables make a BIG difference.
Everything sounds better. Sorry I would give you a better description but I do not speak audiophile yet. :-)
