Mitsubishi VS 60609 Rear Projection

Mitsubishi VS 60609 Rear Projection

DESCRIPTION

The Silver Series comprises Mitsubishi's most affordable projection televisions, yet they significantly outperform many of the more expensive models by other manufacturers. With its superb picture, ample assortment of inputs and features, and highly capable remote control system, the Silver Series sets new standards in performance. Silver Series televisions offer the following features:

- Advanced channel surfing with multi-PIP: automatically scans the channels, displaying either four or 11 channels in addition to the main picture.
- Front-button lock: allows users to deactivate the front-panel buttons so that the TV can be operated only by remote control -- a helpful feature for parents with small children. Front-button operation can be easily restored if the remote control is misplaced.
- ColorTuned Diamond shield: this unique optical design protects the screen from scratches and adds improved contrast to the picture, resulting in blacker blacks and brighter whites. By selectively filtering yellow and orange light, the main components in sunlight and home lighting, the shield prevents this light from hitting the TV screen and washing out its picture.
- DiamondBrite screen: provides a brighter picture by focusing more of the CRTs' light into the typical TV viewing area.

I've own the Mitsubishi VS-60609 television model for 9 years and haven't had any problems with it. I purchased it at Sears back in 2001. It has been worth every penny and more. If this one burns out, I would be looking for another one.
