Symphonic's SC3909 is an entry-level TV/VCR combo with a 9-inch TV and AC/DC operation for portability.
Symphonic's SC3909 is an entry-level TV/VCR combo with a 9-inch TV and AC/DC operation for portability. This combo is for consumers who want something that they can easily take on the road, it's not intended to serve as a primary display device. The 2-head VCR provides basic picture quality during fast-forward and pause modes and includes an 8-event/1-year programming timer. The front-panel A/V inputs are the most noteworthy feature, as they allow for easy connection to camcorders or video game consoles. The SC3909 includes an auto clock with automatic adjustment for daylight saving time, ShowGuard memory keeps your timer/programming information safe, even during a power outage. Also offered is a headphone jack and a sleep/alarm timer. The SC3909 is one of the least expensive TV/VCR combos out there.

from Best Buy Summary: Piece of CRAP!!!
Bought the first tv in Jan 2000. Right out of the box it didn't work. Had to call Best Buy corporate office to get a replacement tv. Had the replacement 3 months, used it for the first time, no picture, but did have sound. Now the TV is broken again, eating tapes. Of course it is out of warranty. A TV should last longer than 2 years. We only used in for road trips in the car. NEVER AGAIN!

from bestbuy Summary: Love it! We've had it for 2 years now and my 9 yr. old son uses it primarily for road trips and camping. It has a great picture and we have used many, many old used tapes without one problem. I consider it a very rugged, portable unit!! Strengths: Picture, durability, ease of use. Weaknesses: none
