Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $980.00 from Ultimate

Summary:
Set is billed as the "all in one" for the bedroom and reason I purchased it. Auto setup was a snap and we were watching a DVD 5 minutes after plugging the thing in.

Used the logic that I would spend cabling money on Insurance instead. Also bought at a no hassle store.

BIG complaint is actually a design flaw in the set. Color adjust offers (3) modes, Normal, Movie, Night and then individual settings. Problem is, the unit defaults back to the "Normal" mode which is over bright with color and grainy. Actually verified this in a couple of stores while trying to find out if the video adjust was programmable.

So, if you don't mind setting the video adjust at each power cycle and you get additional ins, then I thin the set is a good deal.

Strengths:
One shot easy setup. Plug it in and watch. No cables

Weaknesses:
Video adjust, see summary.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
