Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
JVC 20241 combo tv is fine EXCEPT that the VCR drum spins and makes an whine continuously that drives us nuts. We cannot get BEST BUY to understand how unacceptable this is. We cannot learn to ignore the whine. We could not have known that sound existed while deciding to buy it in the noisy showroom. WE could not have known that after the 30 period when we really had time to unhang an transport this large unit to be looked at, while we were on an extended vacation, that each time, they would say that "repairs could be made". We would otherwise love the feature but the whine has caused us not to recommend this model to anyone.

Strengths:
features fine, appearance fine. Weight fine. picture fine.

Weaknesses:
VCR whine

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
