Review NaN of , from New York

Price Paid:  $2500.00 from The Wiz

Summary:
I've been looking around for a long time and I can safely say that this TV displays the best image I've seen so far. I had mixed feeling and was about to dish out $3500 on the XBR700 but luckily I walked into a Wiz store that had both sets side by side running the same HDTV program. I couldn't believe my eyes when I say that a Proscan looked better than the Sony, the Sony looked great, but the Proscan's colors just looked more true to life.

With the built-in HDTV decoder($800 value) and the largest direct view widescreen available, this TV is a steal at $2500 with the stand included ($300 value)

If your looking for the best TV for viewing HDTV, DVD and dont want to spend your whole bank account, this TV is the best choice, in fact, best image at any price, there's no image that looks crispier than a direct view. The only thing killing this set is that it doesnt have a Sony sticker on it.

Strengths:
Picture quality, integrated HDTV decoder and direcTV recevier, great sound and looks beautiful when using its optional matching stand.

Weaknesses:
Not a flat screen, only one set of component inputs Y Pr Pb

Review NaN of , from Dallas, TX, USA

Price Paid:  $3850.00 from copperbox.com

Summary:
This TV is absolutely the best tube HDTV you can buy. The picture quality is unparalleled. 38" makes for a very nice size set for all but the biggest of rooms. If you are in the market for an HDTV, getting a tube TV rather than a projection set makes all the difference in the world. HDTV and progressive DVD are wasted on a projection set as it cannot rival a tube's resolution and brightness. I have this hooked to my Toshiba SD6200 progressive DVD player and after watching more than 200 movies, I still smile every time. The colors are so rich, the picture is crisp (though not overly sharp), and feeling of 3D is almost tangible. There is a known bug with this set (the screen blanks every 28 minutes on component input), but all new ones available now should be free of that bug, and all old sets are being replaced free of charge by RCA/ProScan.

Almost $4000 is a lot to spend on a TV (add another $500-1000 for a progressive DVD player), but it's worth every penny. Watching DVDs is an absolute pleasure, and even regular TV picture is nice and crisp. 5 stars.

Strengths:
Astounding picture, 16x9 format, bright, crisp and sharp. Amazing with progressive DVD input.

Weaknesses:
Somewhat slow to change TV channels, 'blackout bug' (set will be replaced).
