Price Paid:  $1500.00 from walmart

Summary:
FPE3000 LCD tv

- there is no picture but there is audio
- had tv for two years and was very satisfied until a couple of weeks ago when i started having problems with the unit
- was told that it was the back LCD light, but apparently that's not the problem.
- paid a lot of money for this tv, and am not happy with the performance
- have tried calling customer service a number of times and just get a run around and no satisfactory service at all!
- would like to know if this is a genetic problem with all Audiovox FPE3000 tv's
- tv tech says it's going to cost a lot of money to repair, and I do not feel that I should have to pay for this even though the tv is off of warranty.

Strengths:
- multi performance abilities
- good high def picture
- all around good looking unit

Weaknesses:
- poor lasting workmanship
- poor customer service and they do not back their product
(I have called and at exactly that time their computer goes on the blink - they do not return my call. This is just one of the many run arounds that I have been receiving - very frustrating!!)

Price Paid:  $1299.00 from Sam's Club

Summary:
No need to save your money and wait unil next year!! Man o man o man did I find the deal. I have been researching for a year. Could not believe what I found at our Sam's in Pensacola, FL. Sound is amazing! Picture with REGULAR ANALOG COAX CABLE, is amazing. I could not believe it! It's a 30 inch High Definition LCD TV (model FPE3000). I bought it Dec 1 for our 20th anniversary. I could not believe the price...$1299.00. Yes, I know. I was wondering how Sam's coould sell something for $800 less than the next cheapest store on the Internet. The Internet research showed the same TV anywhere from $2100 to almost $3000. So, just in case I paid $198.00 for an ADDITIONAL 3 years of service and warranty through Sam's Club. It already had a year warranty out of the box, so now I have 4 years. At Best Buy they have coax hooked up to all of the big TVs so you can see how "crappy" the signal is compared to the DirectTV signal, so they can sell you DirectTV at Best Buy while you are there. It turns out the crappy coax signal is because of all of the splitters they use to run cable to about 100 different TVs in the store. I got it home, hooked it up and BAM! What a picture! Our Sam's only received 6 of the TVs, and the sign at said "one time buy", so I hope your local Sam's Club has some in so you can see what a deal it is. And yes, the resolution is 1280 x 768, which is why the picture is so great. See the details at http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-Audiovox_FPE3000 Louis Pensacola, FL

Strengths:
Amazing picture and sound!!

Weaknesses:
No DVI connection on the back

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
