Strength:

Huge goobs of power.Runs very cool even after hours of use.

Weakness:

Fans are a little loud(not a problem if your amp is in a cabinet)

I purchased this amp to run my Maggie MMG's. Previously,My speakers were powered by a 7 channel amp pushing out 165 watts @ 4 ohms. While they sounded good,I knew they could handle more power.I picked up the Crown 402(400 wpc @ 4ohms),and after connecting it and dialing everything in using my meter,I sat down for a good listen. Power does tell.My Magnepan speakers now sing(pun intended).Highs and mids are crisp and clear.Bass has much more punch. In a word, satisfied.Give the Crown a try and you'll be surprised what a pro amp can do in a home theater environment.
