Bottom Line:
Sony AM/FM stereo receiver STR-V45

well i bought this receiver at the flea market recently and i have to say it sounds very good only thing when i connected all four channels to four speakers it played only through the right frequency range, but then i decided to bridge the the speakers on both channels A & B. A + to A - inpedance and then A + inpedance to A - same with the B side .then my system came alive acting complate in all ranges and frequency levels.the highs were clear, and bass was clean and very lound and the mid sounded like a like i had a live band at my house.right now with the vol not even trun half way is pushing two vintage12" fisher subs two mids 3" and 2 1/2 and the up level it's pushing two vintage 10" sub for mids and for highs 2 pioneer audio 2way speakers and a two 3 1/2 mids, plus two modern day boxed shelve 6" sub/mid speakers ,, an two tweets.sound great for $60 all together invested.it sounds better than my mondern day sony system i bought at wal-mart. if you want to get a good reciever and are thinkin g of buy a sony str-v45 by all means go for it. just be careful it's defected
